Ber

This week we went from highs in the upper 80s to highs in the low to mid 70s. While most people I know thought this was a step down, to me, it's the best news I've heard in a long time. The "ber" months are the best time of the year for me, and I love the first hint of fall's arrival. There are apples at the farmer's market, football season is kicking off tomorrow, and I'm in the mood to bake and knit again. Now I'm biding my time until apple cider and pumpkins arrive...

Fall is pretty great. It's what comes after fall that I can't handle. December's fine, but then I wish we could skip right to spring.

Me, my mom, and my friend Nancy are going apple picking this fall. Want to come?

Ooh, I could go for some apple picking! I'm actually going to central IL in a couple of weeks to visit my friend Sara and so some apple picking and baking. I love trips to the orchard. :)

I am so jealous of your fall happiness. Here in TX, we don't have a "true fall". It's raining right now, but that's due Hurricane Ike pushing forward. TX is getting a direct hit, and this time, we will be affected. Hopefully this means a PTO day or two for me due to flooding...lol. Enjoy your lovely fall-like day:) I just have to create my fall. Pumpkin pie sounds FANTASTIC!
